ICANN has introduced a new policy, which will come into effect as of 1 December 2016. With the aim of tackling abuse when transferring domain names. What is this all about?1. To what domain names does this policy apply?The new policy applies to all gTLDs, i. e. both traditional domain extensions, such as .com, .net or .biz, and new domain extensions, including .gent, .vlaanderen, .brussels, .guru, .shop, .xyz… (check out the list of available extensions).2. When will this policy come into effect?The new policy will come into effect when you update the contact details of the domain holder or registrant.
